  • Run market research, competitive analysis, and pricing studies.
  • Drive operational process improvement and internal reporting workflows.
  • Own small strategic projects end-to-end with senior mentorship.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering and design teams on go-to-market.

What We're Looking For

  • MBA completed or in final semester from a recognised institute.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English; Hindi a plus.
  • Comfort with data analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Clear thinking, structured approach to problems, and willingness to ask hard questions.

AI Engineer Internship — RAG, LLM & SLM (6 Months)

🏠 Work From Home (Remote, India) · 6 months

View role details

We want an AI engineer intern with genuine hands-on experience in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Small Language Models (SLMs). You'll ship production AI features for client projects and internal tools, working across modern AI frameworks and vector databases.

This role is for someone who has already built AI applications beyond tutorials. If you've got a GitHub with RAG experiments, a fine-tuned SLM you deployed, or a blog post explaining how you got an LLM to do something non-trivial, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Design and ship RAG pipelines over client document corpora, end-to-end.
  • Fine-tune and deploy Small Language Models (Phi-3 Mini, Llama 3 8B, Mistral 7B, Gemma) for focused tasks.
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) into client applications.
  • Build evaluation harnesses to measure and improve AI output quality systematically.
  • Write clean, well-tested Python code that runs reliably in production.
  • Contribute to our prompt engineering library and internal AI tooling.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience building with RAG — ideally a project, GitHub repo, or write-up we can look at.
  • Familiarity with LLM prompt engineering patterns and at least one SLM you've fine-tuned or deployed.
  • Proficiency in Python and at least one ML framework (PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of vector embeddings, chunking strategies, and retrieval evaluation.
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or equivalent self-taught experience we can verify.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI).
  • Familiarity with model quantisation (GGUF, AWQ) and efficient inference (llama.cpp, vLLM, Ollama).
  • Published work, open-source contributions, or a meaningful Kaggle profile.

What You'll Get

  • Fully remote work-from-home arrangement.
  • Production AI work on real client projects with real users.
  • GPU access for model fine-tuning and evaluation.
  • Senior mentorship and code review from experienced engineers.
  • Full-time offer consideration on successful completion.

Homeopathy Research Internship (6 Months)

🏠 Work From Home (Remote, India) · 6 months
Apply →
View role details

OET is quietly expanding into applied research for classical and contemporary homeopathy. We're hiring a fully remote research intern to support evidence review, case documentation, and groundwork for a small digital product we're scoping around homeopathic practice. This is a structured, academically grounded role for BHMS students, graduates, or researchers interested in bridging traditional medicine with technology.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct structured literature reviews on specific homeopathic topics chosen in discussion with senior researchers.
  • Document and categorise case studies drawn from published clinical sources.
  • Support materia medica research and repertory data organisation.
  • Collaborate with our technology team on the design and content of a digital practice tool we're building.
  • Prepare clear summaries, notes, and briefs for senior review.

What We're Looking For

  • BHMS pursuing (final years) or completed.
  • Strong academic writing skills in English.
  • Methodical approach to research and proper source citation.
  • Interest in technology-assisted healthcare is a significant plus, not a requirement.
  • Reliable internet and a quiet workspace for focused remote research.

What You'll Get

  • Fully remote work-from-home arrangement.
  • Hands-on research exposure on work that will be used, not filed.
  • Mentorship from senior researchers and technologists.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a product being actively built.
  • A structured learning experience with clear milestones.
Why Join Us

Why Intern at Orange Essence Technologies

We're a small, serious team. The work is real. The mentorship is honest. The stakes match the effort.

01

Real Work, Not Errands

Interns here own projects, sit in client calls, and ship things that matter. We don't use internships as cheap labour or coffee runs.

02

Senior Mentorship

You work directly with experienced leads. Weekly one-on-ones, regular code or work reviews, and honest feedback are the norm.

03

Full-Time Pathway

A meaningful number of our current full-time team started as interns. Strong performance here opens a clear path to a permanent role.

How to Apply

The Application Process

Short, honest, and respectful of your time. Here's exactly what happens after you apply.

01

Send Your CV

Email your CV and a short note (200 words is plenty) on why this role fits you, to info@oetech.co. Mention which of the three roles you're applying for in the subject line.

02

Initial Screen

If your background looks like a fit, we'll reply within five working days for a 20-30 minute introductory call. No take-home assignment at this stage.

03

Deeper Interview

A longer conversation with the relevant team lead. For the AI role, we'll walk through your past work. For MBA and research, we'll discuss specific business or research scenarios. Offer decisions typically within a week.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What about compensation?

Compensation details are discussed at the interview stage, based on the role, your experience, and the quality of your background. Our focus for these internships is on serious learning, real work, and a clear pathway to a full-time offer for strong performers.

Can I apply if I'm still in my final year or final semester?

Yes, for all three roles. Final-year MBA, final-year BHMS, and final-year engineering students are all welcome to apply. We'd want clarity on your academic commitments so we can plan around them.

Are all three roles fully remote?

Yes. All three internships are fully remote, work-from-home roles, open to candidates anywhere in India. You'll need reliable internet and a quiet workspace for focused work and video calls.

Do you offer full-time roles after the internship?

Yes, for strong performers. A meaningful portion of our full-time team started as interns. We make full-time decisions based on demonstrated work quality, judgement, and fit, typically in the last month of the internship.

What should I include with my application?

CV, a short note (under 200 words) on why this specific role fits you, and for the AI role, links to any relevant projects, GitHub repos, or published work. For research roles, a sample of academic writing is helpful but not required.

I don't exactly match the requirements. Should I still apply?

If you're close and can make a genuine case for yourself, yes. We've hired candidates who were technically under-qualified on paper but clearly had the judgement and drive. We haven't hired ones who over-sold themselves and couldn't back it up. Be honest about what you know.

When do these internships start?

We're flexible on start date. Typical start is within 2-4 weeks of the offer being accepted. If you need longer to wrap up academics, that's usually workable.

What equipment do I need for the remote role?

Your own laptop with a stable internet connection is the baseline. For the AI role, a machine that can run local models or connect to GPU instances is a plus. We can discuss any specific tooling needs during the interview.
