Orange Essence Technologies (“OET”, “we”, “us”) operates oetech.co. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

We process personal data in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Where we serve clients in other jurisdictions, we apply the same standards as a baseline.

1. Who we are

Orange Essence Technologies is a software development company registered in India, with its office at Shubham Plaza, Ladnun, Rajasthan 341306. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, OET is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We only collect data you choose to give us. We do not buy personal data, and we do not run advertising trackers on this website.

Business enquiries

When you contact us by WhatsApp, email, or telephone, we receive whatever you send: your name, the phone number or email address you contact us from, your company name, and the contents of your message, including any files or briefs you attach.

Job applications

If you apply for a role or internship, we receive your name, contact details, CV or résumé, portfolio or code links, and anything else you include in your application.

Technical data

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. This site sets one localStorage value to remember your light or dark theme preference. That value stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and to scope, quote and discuss a possible engagement.
• To assess job applications and communicate with candidates about a role.
• To deliver and support services we have been engaged to provide.
• To keep the site secure and diagnose faults.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Legal basis

Under the DPDP Act we rely on your consent, given when you voluntarily contact us or submit an application, and on legitimate uses where the law permits processing without separate consent — for example, responding to a request you have made of us, or complying with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@oetech.co. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only where necessary:

• Service providers who host our website and email, acting on our instructions as Data Processors.
• Messaging platforms you choose to contact us on. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.
• Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.

Where a provider processes data outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client project records: for the life of the engagement plus 8 years, to meet Indian tax and contractual record-keeping requirements.
• Job applications: 12 months from the decision, so we can consider you for a later opening. Tell us if you would rather we delete yours sooner.
• Server logs: typically 30–90 days, per our host’s retention.

When a retention period ends, or when the data is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, we erase it.

7. Your rights

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
• Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, and completion or updating of it.
• Erasure of your data, where we are not required to retain it.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us and receive a response.

To exercise any of these, email info@oetech.co. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to the data we hold, restrict access to those who need it, and review our practices as our systems change. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the obligation seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority of a reportable breach as the law requires.

9. Children

This site and our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links

Our site links to external sites, including client projects, Google Play and LinkedIn. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before providing them your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
